Auf der heutigen Pressekonferenz wurde die Einführung der zahlreichen Neuerungen, die schon für den Opernball 2022 geplant waren, erneut aufgeführt. So gibt es am ersten Opernball unter der Direktion von Dr. Bogdan Roščić keine Opernball-Lady mehr, die Staatsoper selbst organisiert den Opernball und greift für bestimmte Bereiche auf das Fachwissen eines ehrenamtlichen Organisationskomitees zurück. Zu den ehrenamtlichen Mitgliedern zählen die Unternehmerin Nadja Swarovski, die Leiterin des Restaurant „Steirereck“, Birgit Reitbauer, und die internationale Event-Planerin Maryam Yeganehfar.
Der Eintrittspreis bleibt mit 315 Euro pro Karte gleich zum Jahr 2020, allerdings wird zusätzlich ein „Solidaritätsaufschlag“ in Höhe von 35 Euro verrechnet, der an die Aktion „Österreich hilft Österreich“ gespendet wird.
Die Eröffnung steht dieses Jahr im Zeichen von hundert Jahren Wiener Tanzmusik und Operette, was sich in der Musikauswahl widerspiegelt.
Für die Eröffnung des Jungdamen- und Jungheeren-Komitees ist erneut die oberösterreichische Tanzschule Santner unter der Leitung von Maria und Christoph Santner verantwortlich. Einziehen werden die 144 Paare heuer zur „Polonaise A-Dur, op. 40 Nr. 1“ von Frédéric Chopin.
Die Tiara wurde heuer von der Swarovski Stella Schmuckfamilie inspiriert und besteht aus 435 klaren Kristallen. Ein zentraler Stern mit einem Dancing Stone ist von schimmernden Sternschnuppen umgeben.
At today’s press conference, the introduction of the numerous innovations that were already planned for the 2022 Opera Ball was listed again. For example, at the first Opera Ball under the direction of Dr. Bogdan Roščić there will no longer be an Opera Ball Lady, the State Opera itself will organise the Opera Ball and will draw on the expertise of a volunteer organising committee for certain areas. The Upper Austrian Santner Dance School under the direction of Maria and Christoph Santner is once again responsible for the opening of the Young Ladies‘ and Young Gentlemen’s Committee. This year the 144 couples will move in to the „Polonaise in A major, op. 40 No. 1“ by Frédéric Chopin.
